Job summary:
The equipment manager must be motivated and lead fellow staff in compliance of all safety and operation of all golf course equipment. The equipment manager will communicate to the superintendent on a daily basis, concerning any and all facets of the golf course equipment maintenance program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise preventative maintenance program (Turfcentric Computer Software)
- Accurate recordkeeping including: fuel, service & repair logs
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Troubleshoot all maintenance equipment to safety and operational standards
- Ability to train coworkers on safety and operation of all maintenance equipment
- Maintain clean and safe working environment daily
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel
Additional Responsibilities:
- Preventative and Repair maintenance equipment programs
- Knowledge of Toro, John Deere, & Jacobsen maintenance equipment
- Maintain maintenance fleet within budgetary standards
- Reel grinding and setup maintenance equipment
- Welding and fabrication
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines including hydraulic systems
Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
- 3 – 5 years in golf course maintenance industry or turf related field
