Careers:  Assistant General Manager

At many of our golf courses, we utilize additional management support, in the form of Assistant Managers, to maintain the quality of service and product that our guests have come to expect.

American Golf Corporation manages a diverse portfolio of golf properties, many of which utilize Assistant Managers to support the course operations. In such cases, the Assistant Manager may take on any number of responsibilities to help manage the operations efficiently and to drive our business. No two Assistant Manager positions are identical, but this position provides the ultimate training ground for golf course management.

Successful candidates for Assistant Manager positions should meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years golf industry experience, such as instruction, pro shop operations, outside services, event or tournament sales
• Bachelor's degree preferred, in business, sports or hospitality management, marketing, accounting or related field
• The ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with employees, management and customers
• Stable work history that indicates progressive responsibility, initiative and dedication to the golf industry
• Customer service attitude that is second to none.  You must be comfortable dealing with employees at all levels of our organization and building relationships with our guests and members
