Job summary:

Serves members and guests by maintaining the locker room and cleaning shoes. This is a seasonal position, including as many hours as possible during non-peak golf season (December - March).
 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize “ACE Service Absolutes” by acknowledging, greeting and thanking all members and guests
  • Maintain locker room by dusting and polishing furniture, equipment, mirrors and fixtures; washing windows, counters, sinks, toilets, walls and ceilings; dusting lockers; sweeping, scrubbing and waxing floors; vacuuming carpets; watering plants; replacing light bulbs and emptying trash
  • Ensure adequate stock of supplies by replenishing tissue, toilet paper, towels and soap
  • Assist members and guests by cleaning and shining shoes and replacing spikes; handling locker room rentals and cancellations
  • Inform management of potential problems by reporting special customer requests; supply shortages; broken or missing equipment or fixtures
  • Maintain continuity of service by obtaining event information from all departments in order to follow through with special event requirements or requests
  • Maintain safe working environment by complying with all safety procedures, rules and requirements

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Implement and support all AGC initiatives and programs as requested by management

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to operate cash register of Point of Sale system
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers and management
  • Ability to operate various tools, vacuum, ladder, mop and workhorse cart
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail
  • Possess strong customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Nights, weekends, and some holidays are required.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must have valid liquor license
  • Must have Oklahoma food handlers permit.
  • Bartending experience required.

  • High school diploma required (Specialty/Technical Training preferred) and 2 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to operate mowers, tractors, utility vehicles and sprayers
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and management, in some locations Spanish speaking is helpful
  • Solid time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • State pesticide license preferred

  • Manage maintenance operations involved in providing maintenance of greens, fairways, tees, sand traps, bodies of water, roughs, maintenance shop, golf carts and clubhouse; responsibility for the selection, training, assignment and assessment of maintenance staff, providing corrective action as needed; holding safety meetings to ensure the highest level of safety for all maintenance staff
  • Provide effective administration by developing and executing annual maintenance plan and budget for the course; tracking maintenance expenses including payroll, supplies, fertilizer, chemicals, etc.; maintaining maintenance records and developing required maintenance reports; ordering parts, supplies and equipment as needed

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Requirements:

  • Min 2 year turf certificate: A 4 year degree in a turf or horticulture related major is preferred  
  • Minimum of 5 years golf course management experience at the level of Asst Supt or higher
