Brookside Golf Club

This legendary public golf course, which was designed by golf architect William P. Bell, is located in the picturesque foothills of Pasadena adjacent to the world famous Rose Bowl. It has played host to many major golf championships since it opened in 1928 and offers its golfers a wide range of on-site amenities across its 36 hole layout.

Casta Del Sol Golf Course
The Casta Del Sol Golf Course, which is located in Mission Viejo, is unique among Los Angeles area golf courses due to its challenging executive layout and recent renovations that totaled over $1 million. The 3,670-yard, 18-hole course was originally designed by Ted Robinson and now features new bent grass greens and lush bermuda fairways. While the course can be quite demanding for a lower-handicap golfer, it is also forgiving for beginners.

Calabasas Golf & Country Club
Among Los Angeles area golf courses, this is definitely considered one of the more difficult. The Calabasas golf course has rolling hills, narrow fairways and water hazards that affect five holes. David L. Baker Memorial Golf Center

This par 3, 18-hole course provides a quick round and is also really easy to get to, since it’s located just off the 405.

Ocean Trails Gold Club
This golf course has spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and Catalina Island from seaside cliffs, and it is perhaps one of the most challenging among Los Angeles area golf courses. Ocean Trails was designed to blend into the natural surroundings; its rolling greens, narrow fairways and crosswinds from the ocean make it a course that will test the abilities of even the most experienced golfers.
