NATIONAL CITY, CA – The National City City Council voted unanimously to renew a five-year lease agreement with American Golf Corporation (AGC) to continue operating National City Golf Course, the gem of the South Bay and a favorite destination for residents and golfers throughout the region. The vote is great news for the course, its members, and the thousands of residents who enjoy the fairways.

The unanimous vote reflects the strong relationship between the City of National City and American Golf Corporation, a partnership grounded in a shared commitment to access, community, and the game of golf. With the renewal in place, National City Golf Course will continue to deliver great experiences to golfers of all ages and backgrounds.

As part of the renewed agreement, American Golf Corporation will invest more than $250,000 in improvements to the course and property. These upgrades will improve the playing experience, update facilities, and ensure National City Golf Course remains a place members, guests, and visitors are proud to call their own. Planned improvements include:
National City Golf Course will remain a hub for community recreation, offering programs and events that bring people together and provide healthy options for residents across the South Bay.
National City Golf Course will continue to be led by General Manager Jose Gomez and Operations Manager Charles Fedalizo, two familiar faces who have built genuine relationships with members, guests, and visitors over the years. Their continued presence at the course is a big part of what makes this partnership work.
