El Dorado Park Golf Course has been named as one of the top Southern California Golf Courses in a PGA.com poll. The survey focused on the voices of golfers on Facebook that have either lived in SoCal, or spent time there playing at public, semi-private, or resort courses. El Dorado Park Golf Course finished No. 9 on the list thanks to positive sentiments from guests such as Debbie Drumheller.
“My home course, El Dorado Park Golf Course, is gorgeous. It’s the course that hosts the Long Beach Open each year. It’s a narrow, tree-lined course with lots of tricky traps and inviting waters,” said Drumheller.
El Dorado Park’s General Manager Rick Crowder was equally enthusiastic about the offerings of the golf course and shared a few thoughts. “Dozens of past and current PGA, Champions (Senior), Web.com and other professional players have enjoyed playing here in the past. El Dorado is flexible enough to make it a challenge for the pro’s, yet can make it enjoyable for the average amateur.”
The 6,911-yard, par 72 El Dorado Park Golf Course is located in Long Beach and is a popular Los Angeles golf course due to—in part—its expansive layout and extensive practice amenities. Designed by golf legend Ted Robinson, Sr. and built in 1962, the golf course features 18 holes and has been host to the Queen Mary Open. Click here to book a tee time at El Dorado Park.
