If you’re spending upwards of four hours on the golf course, you’ll definitely want to come prepared with snacks. They can ensure that you beat fatigue, stay hydrated, and have the protein and nutrients you require to play your best. Here are some easy golf snacks to pack for a day out on the greens – plus, we bolded our favorites!
Take a Handful
These quick golf snacks are great for bites between swings, and they’ll ensure you have the nutrition to keep playing.
- Beef Jerky
- Fresh or Dried Fruits & Berries (like Bananas and Apples)
- Popcorn & Granola
- Trail Mix
- Almonds or Peanuts
- String Cheese
Sandwiches are a great meal replacement when you don’t have a full lunch or breakfast on hand. Nibble on one over the course of a round or chow down between holes. Whole wheat bread will leave you feeling full and energized!
- Peanut Butter & Banana (packed with protein!)
- Meat & Cheese
Snacks with dips are tasty, but can be messy. For easy dipping, fill the bottom of a cup with dip and stick the pretzels or veggies down like stakes. You’ll be able to grab a stick and have it already be coated in dip or dressing.
- Celery & Peanut Butter
- Nutella & Pretzels
- Carrot Sticks & Ranch
Hydrating is an obvious necessity, but you don’t just have to stick to water. Stick one of these other fun beverages in your bag for when you get thirsty – but remember, water is the very best way to hydrate and should make up the vast majority of your golf game hydration.
- Chocolate Milk – yes, you read that right! Chocolate milk is packed with electrolytes and protein
- Sports Drinks (but watch your sodium content — too much will leave you feeling dehydrated)
- Flavored Sparkling Water
