Paul Goydos joined a very exclusive club on Thursday carding a 59 in the first round. The bad news is that he only has a one shot lead over Steve Stricker. The scores were extremely low at the John Deere and Goydos was a full 19 shots ahead of the last place golfer. While many of the Tour regulars are at the Barclay’s Scottish Open a strong field stayed at home for the John Deere. Given the first round scores there is a possibility of some record scoring in this weeks tournament.
