Milestone reinforces American Golf’s leadership within the nation’s largest municipal golf system and deepens its long-standing partnership with Los Angeles County Department of Parks & Recreation
LOS ANGELES COUNTY, CA (December 5, 2025) – American Golf Corporation (AGC), a premier golf course operator and trusted partner to Los Angeles County Department of Parks and Recreation, today announced the successful renewal of its lease at Lakewood Country Club and Tennis Center in Lakewood, California, along with the acquisition of two new leaseholds at Victoria Golf Course in Carson, California, and El Cariso Golf Course in Sylmar, California.
Together, these milestones strengthen American Golf’s leadership within the largest municipal golf system in the United States and reaffirms a shared commitment to delivering exceptional, accessible golf experiences throughout Los Angeles County.

The return to El Cariso Golf Course is especially meaningful, marking a homecoming for American Golf, which previously operated the popular North San Fernando Valley course. The addition of Victoria and El Cariso underscores the County’s continued confidence in American Golf’s operational excellence, community focus, and long-term investment in public recreation.
Across all three properties, American Golf will introduce a phased series of facility enhancements beginning in 2026. Planned improvements include agronomic advancements, refreshed practice amenities, expanded instructional and junior programming, improved food and beverage experiences, and continued growth of the Players Club Program, AGC’s signature value-driven membership for golfers of all levels.

“We are excited and honored to strengthen our partnership with Los Angeles County through the renewal of Lakewood Country Club and the award of Victoria and El Cariso,” said Kyle Rickman, Chief Operating Officer of American Golf Corporation. “These courses are important public assets, and we are committed to enhancing their facilities, expanding our Players Club program, and providing experiences that reflect the diverse and vibrant communities they serve. Our team is energized by the opportunity to elevate these properties and continue growing the game across the region.”
Jorge Badel, Community Engagement Director for American Golf, added:
“These expanded properties allow us to deepen our role in the neighborhoods we serve. Each course is more than fairways and greens, it’s a gathering place where families, students, and local organizations can connect. With Victoria, El Cariso, and Lakewood, we have an even greater opportunity to support youth development, expand community partnerships, and create meaningful programs that strengthen the social fabric of Los Angeles County.”
American Golf’s operational and community-based initiatives will continue to emphasize junior golf, nonprofit partnerships, accessible programming, and localized engagement tailored to the needs of each course’s surrounding community.
